ABOUT ME

Hi! I am Tracy, Founder and Creative Director of TKO Design and Interiors. I have always had a passion for interior design right from an early age and would watch any and every design show on TV. It fascinated me, the ability to completely transform a space into something really special for the user; be it a family home, a garden, a dilapidated listed building or hotel/B&B. I loved the creative process, the problem solving, and the thinking outside the proverbial 'house' box.

Fast-forward and my years in formal education steered me down a different path, into the world of accounting and finance and subsequently a career as a management consultant specialising in project management and people enabled change management. Looking back, it has proved valuable, laying the foundation for a career running a business in Interior Design.

The turning point for me was taking on a renovation project for my family home. It reignited my creative passion and was the kick I needed. I was involved right from the start, from helping finalise architectural drawings  to obtain the appropriate planning consent, to project managing the build and construction and finally designing and styling the space. It was a complete transformation and I enjoyed soaking in the positive reactions of friends and family that visited the space, some of whom have subsequently consulted me for design guidance for their homes. I thoroughly enjoyed every step of the creative process and I knew I needed to make more room in my life for it going forward. 

I complemented my innate skills and practical experience on the renovation and design project with some formal interior design training and TKO Design and Interiors was born. My career as a management consultant also has  a big part to play in how I deliver quality service to my clients. I work in a consultative way, drawing on my skills as a project manager and a people change manager to bring my clients the best packaged experience and level of professionalism.

My design style has my clients at the heart of it. They best know their space, so I listen and work with them to achieve a design look that best meets their needs but packs impact. My company's ethos is to create design looks with clients in mind that are practical and functional without compromising on design excellence.
